UPDATE APRIL 15: 27-year-old Marquis Davon Johnson has been identified as the man killed. He died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide near Sahara Avenue and Sandhill Road.
It happened shortly before 1 a.m. at Arcadia Palms Apartments.
A man called 911 and said he had just shot someone who was trying to break into his apartment. He told police that he believed the intruder was armed.
The alleged intruder is dead and the police are investigating. At this time, no one has been arrested.
This is the 46th homicide so far this year in Las Vegas.
